How do you unfollow on TikTok?
Some sort of controversy isn’t always responsible for an unfollow on TikTok — the quality of a user’s content might decline, or following them could’ve been a mistake in the first place.
Although these situations may seem awkward, they happen all of the time. The person also won’t receive a notification about losing a follower, so there shouldn’t be any resulting drama.
HOW TO UNFOLLOW SOMEONE ON TIKTOK
- Open the TikTok app on iOS or Android.
- Tap the profile icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Press the “Following” button near the top of the page.
- Scroll through the list and find the user(s) to unfollow.
- Tap the “Following” button next to their profile to unfollow them.
It’s possible to follow users back from this screen, in case of choosing the wrong one. After leaving the screen, however, unfollowed profiles will no longer appear on the list.
Of course, should two people make amends, it is also possible to search for any account and re-follow it in the future. Do note, however, that if the user wasn’t aware that they’d been unfollowed the new follower notification is a dead giveaway!
